Every individual receiving services from CHiP has the right to:
Be treated with kindness, dignity, and respect—regardless of background, circumstances, or personal history.
Receive services free from discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age, veteran status, socioeconomic status, housing status, or criminal history.
Have personal information kept confidential except when:
Request assistance from any CHiP program, subject to availability, staffing, and eligibility.
Receive services in a respectful, safe, and supportive setting.
Receive clear explanations about services, referrals, or programs offered.
Accept or decline any service without penalty.
Share concerns about treatment or services without fear of retaliation.
Concerns can be shared directly with CHiP staff or leadership.
To help CHiP maintain a safe, respectful environment for all, clients are expected to:
1. Treat Others Respectfully
Show respect for staff, volunteers, and other clients.
2. Provide Honest Information
Give truthful and accurate information when requesting assistance.
3. Follow Safety Guidelines
Abide by site rules, safety instructions, and guidance from staff or volunteers.
4. Use Resources Responsibly
Use CHiP services and items (food, clothing, supplies, rides, etc.) appropriately and as intended.
5. Maintain Appropriate Behavior
Refrain from:
Respect the privacy of other individuals receiving services.
Inform staff if your situation changes or if you no longer need certain services.
CHiP may modify, delay, or decline services when:
We will always do our best to connect individuals to alternative resources when possible.
